This policy explains your right to withdraw from a purchase, the timelines for refunds, and the limited exceptions that apply.
1. 14-day satisfaction window
We offer a fourteen (14) day cooling-off window from the date of payment, regardless of where you live. You can withdraw from your purchase within that period without giving a reason. For consumers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom this matches the statutory right-of-withdrawal under EU distance-selling rules; for consumers elsewhere, including Canada, it is offered as a voluntary commitment.
To exercise this right, send us a clear statement of withdrawal by email to admin@g20chea.com before the fourteen-day period expires. You may use the wording below or any equivalent.
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for membership of the G20 CHEA, ordered on [date], in the name of [your name], registered email address [your email].
2. Effects of withdrawal
We will reimburse all payments received from you, using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, no later than fourteen (14) days after we receive your withdrawal notice. You will not incur any fees for the reimbursement itself; bank or card-network charges, where they apply, are borne by us.
Once a full refund is issued, your membership access ends on the same day; your account expiry is updated to reflect this and member-only resources are no longer accessible.
3. Exceptions to the cooling-off window
The following do not qualify for a refund under the fourteen-day window. EU law expressly permits these exceptions; we apply the same exceptions to all members so the policy is consistent worldwide:
- tickets for events on a specific date once the event has begun, or where the event has already taken place;
- gated digital content (e.g. downloadable communiqués or research) that you have explicitly accessed, downloaded, or consumed and where you have waived your right of withdrawal at the point of access;
- bespoke services or content prepared specifically for you on request.
4. Cancellation outside the 14-day window
After the fourteen-day cooling-off period, membership is non-refundable for the remainder of the annual term. You may cancel at any time to prevent renewal, but this does not entitle you to a partial refund of fees already paid. If your account is closed for a serious breach of the terms, no refund is owed.
5. Failed or duplicate payments
If you have been charged twice for the same membership, or if a payment failed to grant you access, contact us at admin@g20chea.com with the Stripe receipt, the CHEA receipt number shown in your account (format CHEA-YYYY-XXXXXX), or any other transaction reference. We will investigate and, where the duplicate is confirmed, issue a refund within five working days.
6. Disputes and complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a refund request, please email us first so we can try to resolve it directly. EEA and UK consumers may also be entitled to refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body or to their national consumer authority. Canadian consumers may contact their provincial consumer protection office. As a consumer, you retain all rights granted by mandatory law in your country or province of residence.
